The Tadeusz Browicz Prize, awarded annually since 1998 for outstanding achievements in the field of medicine.
To date the prizes have been funded by the PLIVA SA pharmaceutical company of Cracow, and by the English­Language School of Medicine in the Faculty of Medicine at the Jagiellonian University, and since 2005 by: the Novartis Poland Sp. z o.o. and the Medical School for Foreigners of CM UJ.

Dr hab. Marta Dziedzicka-Wasylewska for the cycle of works concerning mechanism of antidepressants effects.

Dr hab. Marian Szczepanik for the cycle of works concerning role of γδT lymphocytes in immunoregulation.

Prof. dr hab. Stanisław Szala for the cycle of works concerning experimental cancer gene therapy.

Dr hab. Krzysztof Wędzony – The Additional Prize for the cycle of works under the general title:  Udział receptorów serotoninowych w regulacji transmisji dopaminergicznej – potencjalne znaczenie dla terapii schizofrenii.

Dr hab. med. Tomasz Grodzicki – The Prize For a Young Scholar for works in the field of hypertension of senior citizens.

Prof. dr hab. med. Andrzej Januszewicz for the cycle of clinical works concerning use of modern methods of diagnostics, including molecular gene diagnostics, in diagnosing of various forms of arterial hypertension, especially the hypertension in chromplymphatic tumour of adrenal glands and arterial hypertension.

Prof. dr hab. med. Julian Świerczyński for the cycle of works concerning regulation of gene experssion of lipogenic enzymes and obesity gene in fatty tissue of the rat and of the human.

Prof. dr hab. med. Wiesław Jędrychowski for the cycle of works concerning epidemiological tests on the effects of molecularly harmful factors of environmental origin and on tumour epidemiology.

Prof. dr hab. med. Tomasz Brzozowski for the cycle of works concerning neuro-hormonal mechanism of gastroprotection and ulcer healing in molecular tests of stomach muscous membrane.

Władysław Lasoń for the cycle of works entitled: Wyjaśnienie mechanizmów działania leków przeciwdepresyjnych i przeciwpsychotycznych na transkrypcję genów związanych z regulacją aktywności osi podwzgórze-przysadka mózgowa-nadnercza (HPA).
